Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements hardware and system software, tools, and utilities required for the operation, maintenance, and control of systems.
- Monitoring system utilization, troubleshooting and upgrading systems.
- Define and perform operation system and data backups and recovery procedures.
- Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
- Unix shell scripts as required.
- Maintain documentation on physical and logical layout and assets of H/W and system S/W architectures.
- May be required to cover shifts in the early morning and late night
- May be required to be available to travel at a moment’s notice
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
- 3-5 years of experience in a administrator role configuring and managing Server, Storage, and System Software consisting of the following:
- Unix Server
- SAN Storage
- Backup Library
- Software Management for Backup
- Monitoring S/W
- DNS, Ftp, and File Server
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical field or equivalent experience required.
- 3~5 years experience with UNIX, SAN Storage and System software
- Basic knowledge of Network, Middleware and Oracle Database(RAC) is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills desired
