Job Summary

Under general directions of the Production Planning Manager, this position is responsible for the planning and scheduling of the work centers. Schedules all the production loads based on customer orders and our plant reorder report. This position will plan production by work centers taking into consideration the machine capabilities and capacity. Work with the shipping department to coordinate the required information, plans delivery dates. Position is responsible for completion of production reports, daily production schedule, and follow-ups related to that.

Job Description

  • Plan and manages production planning and schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.
  • Responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Complete shipping information and delivery date input.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues.
  • Communicates the progress of production to support departments and management.
  • Analyzes problems and works with management and production teams to implement solutions. Utilizes Lean methods for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. Associate and/or BA degree preferred.
  • 2+ years work experience in scheduling and inventory control in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year of Experience with Lean manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint Focused)
  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) a plus
  • COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
  • - Working knowledge of MS Office (focus in Excel spread sheet)
  • - Good at Math and statistics
  • LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
  • APIC Certification a plus
