Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. HR Strategy & Leadership:
  • -Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company goals and California employment laws.
  • -Provide strategic guidance to leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
  • 2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
  • -Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
  • -Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to attract top talent.
  • 3. Employee Relations:
  • -Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing workplace issues and facilitating conflict resolution.
  • -Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and open communication.
  • 4. Compliance & Legal:
  • -Ensure compliance with California labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, leaves of absence, and workplace safety.
  • -Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports for audits or regulatory requirements.
  • 5. Compensation & Benefits:
  • -Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • -Partner with finance to manage payroll and ensure equitable and competitive compensation practices.
  • 6. Training & Development:
  • -Design and implement training programs to support employee growth, leadership development, and compliance requirements.
  • -Foster a learning environment that supports career progression and skill enhancement.
  • 7. Performance Management:
  • -Oversee the performance review process and provide tools and resources to managers for effective evaluations.
  • -Identify opportunities for employee improvement and recommend appropriate development plans.
  • 8. Health & Safety:
  • -Ensure workplace safety compliance with Cal/OSHA standards.
  • -Lead initiatives promoting employee well-being and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • -Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • -Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • -Thorough knowledge of California labor laws and regulations.
  • -HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
  • -Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • -Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • -Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, BambooHR, ADP, Workday).
