Job Summary

  • Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Sales Manager to drive sales of our carbon fiber and prepreg, specifically targeting the sporting goods industry. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the composites market and a strong ability to work with international teams.
  • The Senior Sales Manager will manage all aspects of specifically assigned accounts or regions. Key aspects of the job include sales development, contract adherence, demand to cash monitoring, facilitating technical and innovation discussions, and new business development.
  • This individual will take a leadership role within the team on reporting, organization and program management.
  • In addition, this position will work closely with other groups (supply chain, finance, technical, and headquarters) to ensure timely execution of the daily workflow. Relationship management (internal and external) is key to this position.

Job Description

  • * Essential Functions
  • - Manage sales and business development plans.
  • - Key strategy deployment.
  • - Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • - Working knowledge of the supply chain.
  • - Responsibility for asset management and inventory aging associated with assigned accounts.
  • - End of Month reporting to Corporate (Monthly Operating Executive Report).
  • - Accounts Receivable efforts with assigned accounts to minimize past due and maintain accounts within credit limits.
  • - Facilitate technical (approval) and innovation processes with internal and external customers including technical marketing and R&D.
  • * Additional Responsibilities :
  • - Performs other duties as required.
  • - Works to develop cost reduction or avoidance activities in areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • * Education/Knowledge:
  • - 4 Year Degree or equivalent work experience in a discipline related to business, manufacturing, financial and / or leadership
  • - Excellent Communicator in both presentation and social interaction
  • - Experience with Team leadership and relationship management.
  • - Possess a broad knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and the application of these principles to sales and operations.
  • - Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, analysis, reporting and business development)
  • * Experience (required and preferred):
  • - Proven work experience in sales and / or operations within the related field
  • (Carbon Fiber, Composites, pre-preg and tow preg products markets) .
  • - (10) Ten years’ experience with increasing roles and responsibilities in a sales or operations environment.
  • - Experience in related field and product segments.
  • - Experience using reporting tools, analytics and marketing.
  • - Key Account Management and global negotiation experience.
  • - Travel up to 50% to meet with clients and attend industry events, both domestically and internationally.
  • * Skills (required and preferred):
  • - Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • - Ability to execute plans and achieve results in a timely manner
  • - Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • - Data driven to add value to the corporation.
  • - Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office
  • - Comprehension of legal aspects of contracts.
  • - Negotiating skills including “back office” analysis.
  • * Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • - Vision, hearing, and speech are required. Capability for extensive travel, including international. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled.
