Job Description

  • This individual is responsible for ensuring the overall adherence to the quality system ? including the nonconformance area, quality reports, and data control. This individual will also be responsible for sampling of finished product and work in process to determine that quality requirements have been met. This involves examining in process material for possible problems, running functional tests on finished product, communicating with production associates about problems, working on correction methods to prevent reoccurrence.
  • This person must be a team player and a goal oriented achiever capable of assisting in a fast paced, work environment. Qualified applicants will have good communications skills (both written and verbal), ability to keep good records, knowledge of sampling plans, ability to read blue prints, use of measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers etc.) They should also have computer experience, specifically: Office Excel software and basic mathematical aptitude. This person must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Must be willing and able to work overtime. Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive metal stamping and/or welding would be a plus.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • - High school diploma or GED required.
  • Language Skills:
  • - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Computer/Software:
  • - Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Work Environment/Conditions:
  • Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
  • Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
  • Travel: 10%
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time is required. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
