Job Summary

Seeking Korean Language Interpreters for onsite roles. The ideal candidate will have native or near-native fluency in both English and Korean, possess excellent linguistic and cultural understanding, and be committed to delivering high-quality translations

Job Description

• - Translate written documents, including emails, reports, marketing materials, and legal documents, from Korean to English and vice versa
• - Conduct consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other events as required
• - Ensure accurate translation of content while maintaining the intended meaning, style, and tone of the original text
• - Research and stay updated on industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translation of specialized texts
• - Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure linguistic and grammatical accuracy
• - Collaborate with other translators and team members to ensure consistency in terminology and style across projects
• - Communicate with clients to clarify translation requirements, address questions, and provide project updates
• - Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations
• - Use translation tools and software to enhance translation efficiency and maintain translation memory
• - Continuously improve language skills and cultural knowledge through self-study and professional development
• - Perform other position related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basic:
• - Minimum Age: 18 years old
• - High School Diploma or equivalent
• - Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• - While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
• - Completely proficient with writing, reading and speaking Korean and English
• - Excellent communication skills
• - Must be able to interpret within a manufacturing environment
• - Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
• - Proficient computer and internet skills for researching and translating documents
• Preferred:
• - Bachelor’s Degree
• - Prior experience working as an interpreter in manufacturing environment
• Working Conditions:
• - Ability to work in a variety of different working conditions based on placement
• - Ability to work around automated equipment or machinery
• - Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, bend or lift as required
• - Ability to work in a clean room/dry room
• - Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
• - Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• - Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function such as protective clothing (mask and hat), safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes
• - Ability to work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
• - May be exposed to dust, solvents, welding, mixing, noise, high temperature, low humidity, air-conditioned environment, CT Scan, X-Ray, and high-security areas
