Job Summary

Job Description

• MAJOR FUNCTION:
• 1. Serve as a liaison for communicating and understanding cultural differences and
• building relationships among team members.
• 2. Assist Production manager with translating documents, written and verbal.
• 3. Manage and ensures inventory of semi-finished parts and complete parts.
• 4. Analyze production process, results, and downtimes.
• 5. Support the production operation to be efficient.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• 1. Management and creating Daily Inventory Status Sheets.
• 2. Reviewing daily/monthly operation rate and efficiency rate status.
• 3. Managing, distributing, and purchasing equipment required by production
• personnel on the production floor including welding electrodes, air powered tools,
• flap discs, etc.
• 4. Cooperate with Korean Supervisors and USA Supervisors on the production
• floor about the production needs.
• 5. Prepare and distribute daily production plan to Supervisors, and review daily
• production results.
• 6. Manage Engineering Change Orders when applicable on the production floor.
• 7. Execute and follow up on corrective actions for the Assembly and Press
• Departments in reaction to manufacturing repeated issues that compromise quality
• and operation rates.
• 8. Prepare and participate in education/training materials for the new production
• personnel.
• 9. Participate in productivity improvement activities and Execute improvement plans
• continuously.
• 10. Understand and control the production personnel allocation.
• 11. Analyze operation cycle time, downtimes, productivity and efficiency rates for
• each line.
• 12. New model try out and follow up with results, and FIFO control for Engineering
• Change Orders.
• 13. Modify and Revise production line layouts to improve productivity.
• ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 1. Specialists are responsible and authorized to supervise the production team
• leaders and members in case of Supervisor's absence.

Qualifications

• PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
• 1. Four year degree.
• 2. Prior less than 2 year experience as Production Specialist.
• 3. Speak and write fluent Korean and English.
• Personal Characteristics:
• 1. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction
• with day-to-day production improvement activities.
• 2. Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities,
• tactful, mature, flexible.
• 3. Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.
• 4. Good communication skills.
• 5. Resourceful and well organized.
• 6. Prioritizing and planning work activities.
• 7. Participative management style?advocate of team concept.
• 8. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive?but be able to recognize and
• support the production team and organization's preferences and priorities.
• 9. Results and people oriented, but have sound judgment?ability to balance other
• business considerations. Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive.
• Organizational Relationships:
• 1. Accountable to the Production Manager for all phases of activities.
• 2. Advises, consults, and coordinates with:
