Job Summary

The Vice President of Finance and Accounting is responsible for advising company leadership on how best to utilize resources. They oversee budget planning and financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. The VP of Finance serves as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes. They are also responsible for overseeing all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, audit, insurance and tax preparation. The VP of Finance should develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses.

Job Description

  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Management of organizational cash flow and cash flow forecasting.
  • Oversight and leadership of annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO; administration and review of all financial plans and budgets; monitoring of progress and changes to keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.
  • Active participation in influencing company direction, growth, strategic planning, product development, acquisition integration and financial forecasting as a member of the senior management team.
  • Responsible for all financial and accounting functions including policy development and implementation and financial system development and management.
  • Development and management of internal financial controls.
  • Oversight and mentoring of the accounting and finance staff.
  • Work with senior management on all major transactions including capital raises, debt, major partnerships, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Define standards, policies, procedures, measures, and organizational enhancements to meet company goals for finance.
  • Oversee and optimize financial reporting to management and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and to inform decision making throughout the company.
  • Develop new and improve existing business processes to assess enterprise-wide financial effectiveness for greater transparency, more accurate reporting, and better identification of cost saving opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate finance
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Well-organized and hardworking, with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented, ability to form strong working relationships with partners and employees while maintaining firm adherence to proper financial standards and using sound judgment
  • A "can do", problem-solving approach looking for the "win-win" in dealing with internal members/departments and headquarters, customers, and vendors
  • Demonstrated leader and strategic thinker, with a bias to action, the ability to resolve conflict, and operating with determination, passion, and a positive attitude
  • Computer proficiency across MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Thrive in a fast-paced business environment
  • Bilingual in English and Korean strongly preferred
