Job Summary

  • MAJOR FUNCTION:
  • 1. Validates customer quality issues and assign corrective responsibility
  • 2. Prepares corrective actions on quality issues
  • 3. Investigates root causes of in-process or customer concerns
  • 4. Maintains status of daily customer issues

Job Description

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • 1. Performs periodic inspection in accordance with the schedule or as needed
  • 2. Insures proper inspection techniques are being applied to promote part reliability
  • 3. Oversees destruct reporting and result status
  • 4. Trains quality inspectors according to annual training plan
  • 5. In accordance with schedule, conducts quality audit or quality conference meeting
  • 6. Effectively communicates with department team members for customer satisfaction
  • 7. Handles and reports customer concerns to relevant departments or team members
  • 8. Responsible for maintaining proper documentation as outlined in the procedure
  • 9. Controls and responsible for calibration of measuring instruments
  • 10. Develops MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
  • 11. Analyzes quality performance index, quality cost matrix, etc.
  • 12. Updates information f quality information board, quality alert, engineering change order
  • 13. Monitors suppliers and perform SPA based on periodic supplier process audit schedule
  • 14. Issues nonconformance reports, claims, and other various reports to suppliers
  • 15. Follow-up supplier, customer PPAP
  • 16. Follow-up engineering level, modification of parts
  • 17. Maintains compliances of ISO/TS 16949 requirements and requirements of customer
  • 18. Develops supplier periodic inspection schedule and perform periodic inspection on suppliers
  • 19. Performs SPC (Statistical Process Control) based on control plan or annual schedule
  • 20. Prepares and validates corrective action reports received from relevant
  • departments/suppliers
  • 21. Develops and validates counter measure plans for customer concerns
  • 22. Initiates process continual improvement
  • ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 1. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or 3 years related field experience with BA degree
  • required
  • 2. Three years of process improvement experience preferred
  • 3. Proficiency in Window Excel, Power Point, Word, CAD required
  • 4. An individual must demonstrate strong supervisory, interpersonal, communication skills
  • 5. Capability to perform multi-tasks

  • day activities.

  • Organizational Relationships:
  • 1. Accountable to the Department Manager of Quality Control for all phases of activities.
  • 2. Advises, consults, and coordinates with:

  • b. Middle Management and Supervisors, Team Leaders and Team Members as needed
