Job Summary

As a Distribution Center Manager, you will supervise all activities of the facility, which includes overseeing team performance, expediting receipt and shipment of goods, and ensure efficient and organized storage. This position reports the Sr. Director of Operations and is accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of warehouse associates, including selection, termination, performance appraisal and Professional development.

Job Description

  • - Maintain and lead distribution operations for the overall productivity agenda across distribution center inventory fulfillment, warehousing and transportation movement including truck load, direct to customer delivery, LTL, parcel and international freight
  • - Prepare report for performance of warehouse operation and KPIs(Productivity, customer/vendor satisfaction, and accuracy in shipping)
  • - Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • - Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with data storage systems
  • - Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing network design and inventory control practices, and monitor the standard compliance of distribution center
  • - Lead staffing needs by recruiting, selecting and orienting and Improve warehouse operational requirements by coaching, training, and disciplining employees
  • - Drive continuous improvements through more effective processes, elimination of duplicate efforts, waste and other defects in the process
  • - Achieves financial objectives by ensuring allotted budget is in line with annual budget and negotiating rates with carriers and other service provider

Qualifications

  • - Bachleor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business related field; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • - Excellent analytical skills, communication and organizational skills
  • - Strong understanding of warehouse management, technical procedures and ability to compliance governmental regulations
  • - Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Presentation, Outlook)
  • - Five years of experience in a 3PL Distribution Center Managerial position preferred
  • Travel Requirements:
  • - Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • - Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
