Automotive local support Engineer (Quality)
About Our Client
Our client is an electronic component manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. They produce core components of mobile devices, automotive displays, semiconductors, and smart products.
Job Summary
- Main contact point for customers’ quality and development and team in xEV components field
- (mHEV DCDC, HV DCDC, Battery Management System, Power Line Communication Module)
- Main role
- - Primary : FAE for power components
- - Secondary : Customer satisfaction related quality assurance/control
Job Description
- Execute quality issue tracking and initial response to the customers
- - Inspection and analysis on return units according to response manual
- - Communicate with the quality and R&D team in HQ for quality issues and perform root cause co-analysis and deliver 8D report to customers
- - Attend regular quality meeting and follow up the quality activity including 4M changes
- -Coordinate with R&D team in HQ and customers for on-going program issues and progress
Qualifications
- Over 3 years of experience of quality or development, or sales engineering in major OEMs (GM, Ford, FCA) or Tier 1 power electronics companies
- - Strong background in power electronics and/or electrical component
- - Understand e-powertrain system
- - Capability on bench level tests
- (Normal operation, isolation, CAN data gathering, etc.)
- - Communication skill with customers’ PJT members/managers and with HQ teams
- - Bachelor’s degree and higher (preferred electrical/electronic engineering)
- - Bilingual in Korean is a required
- Routinely visit to customers in Great Detroit area (Troy, Auburn Hills, Pontiac, and Dearborn)
- Visit to customer factory in Holland, MI once or twice per month
