Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Responsible for designing the knitwear collection for this trend led young women’s collection
- 2. Ensure latest trends are executed commercially for fast moving trend conscious Chinese market
- 3. Deliver seasonal product with a focus on style, fit, stitch and desirable yarns
- 4. Deliver product designs with flawless execution : achieving goals with speed, agility and acute attention to details
- 5. Constantly upgrade fabric, yarn, technique, fitting and product to trend and market demand
- 6. Produce detailed techpacks and liaise with buyers and suppliers confidently
- 7. Work closely with design manager and buyers throughout the design process including product development, technical design and production to ensure the quality and timely delivery of collection
Qualifications
- Requirements:
- 1. Fashion design bachelor degree or above, ideally specialize in Knitwear
- 2. Minimum 5 years commercial women’s knitwear design experience
- 3. Excellent knowledge of yarn, knit gauges and structures and good understanding of garment construction
- 4. Highly creative and trend driven with a true connection to knitwear design
- 5. Must be able to work in a fast-paced fashion environment and able to handle deadline pressure
- 6. Able to work on their own ?take initiative and work as part of a team
- 7. Team player, good communication skill
- 8. Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- 9. Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
- 10. Ability to relocate to Beijing, China
- 11. Have an open mindset and willing to work with other cultures
