Job Description
- Conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products
- Create and review 3d data, drawings by using CATIA V5
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
- Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
- Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within customer’s expectations
- Manage timing and specification for testing and validation of new designs
- Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources
- Research the market and developing the part with supplier
- Creating and enhancing products that fill a niche in the market or allow their clients to remain competitive
- Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development
- Submitting proposals and designs for evaluation by the project team and management before moving to the next stage
Qualifications
- Mechanical engineering knowledge
- Familiarity with CAD and other mechanical design software : CATIA V5 especially
- Creative thinking and innovation
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
- Must be fluent in English
