About Our Client

• Our client is a major supplier for Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors. The company is a global automotive parts manufacturer that provides a wide range of products, including modules for automotive assembly, safety systems, and electronics.
• This plant plays a crucial role in producing key automotive components such as chassis, cockpit, and front-end modules. These components are essential for vehicle assembly and contribute significantly to the overall production process of Hyundai and Kia vehicles. The plant's operations involve advanced manufacturing techniques and adhere to high-quality standards to ensure the reliability and performance of the automotive parts they produce.

Job Summary

The System Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within our manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production processes, configure MES software, and provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MES software and related technologies.

Job Description

• 1. System Design and Configuration:
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design MES solutions that align with manufacturing process needs and business objectives.
• - Configure and customize MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
• - Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• 2. System Implementation and Integration:
• - Support the implementation and deployment of MES systems in manufacturing facilities, working closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
• - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to integrate MES systems with other manufacturing systems, such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
• - Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during implementation and integration phases.
• 3. System Maintenance and Support:
• - Monitor the performance and availability of MES systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to production operations.- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting system errors, and guiding them in utilizing MES functionalities effectively.
• - Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
• 4. Process Improvement and Optimization:
• - Analyze manufacturing processes, data, and workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement using the MES system.
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks, reduction of cycle times, and enhancement of production workflows through the utilization of MES functionalities.
• - Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data analysis and insights to drive informed decision-making.
• 5. Documentation and Training:
• - Create and maintain documentation, including system configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• - Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilizing MES functionalities, ensuring proper system usage and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• 6. Team Leadership:
• - Manage a team of MES OP & Infrastructure members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful implementation and operation of MES technology.

Qualifications

• - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience
• - 3 years or more of experience in System Management
• - Strong understanding of production process and related systems
• - Strong analytical skills
• - Improvement of MES system and Development of user's requirement
• - Knowledge of Programming language and DB management
• - Experience in performance optimization for system and DB
• - Programming language skill: C#.NET, MS-SQL, JAVA
• - Design and development of Interface program for equipment automation
• - Knowledge of strategic, conceptual and consultative process
• - Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules to meet deadlines
• - Excellent interpersonal skills, people-management, leadership and communication skills
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
• - Collaborating and communicating skill with other departments
• - Interest and working knowledge automotive industry and technology
• - Bilingual speaker (English and Korean) is a plus
• - MES System Developer is a plus
• **Preferred Qualifications**
• - Experience developing MES systems
• - Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean
• - Familiarity with the automotive manufacturing environment
